What celebrities do you find hot despite a genial – or not so genial – dislike for virtually every aspect of their public persona? For me, it’s [Kelly Ripa](http://www.hunkydesktop.co.uk/ripa.htm#). The best thing I can say about her performance on Regis & Kelly is that she’s less irritating than Kathie Lee Gifford; of course, that’s like saying Pol Pot was less of a mass murderer than Stalin. The best thing I can say about her performance on her sitcom is that, thanks to the fact that we live in a free country, I cannot be compelled to watch it. But my word, she’s lovely. Cute. Mattressable. _She must be mine_. What about the rest of you, Dopers? Whom do you find attractive despite your better judgment? ---

The overexposed Eva Longoria, who seems to be a vapid fame-whore from a show I have no desire to watch, is pretty hot. Christina Aguilera’s new classic Hollywood glamour-girl look (as seen in her “Ain’t No Other Man” video) took her from skanky to smokin’. ---

Totally agree with you–I remember seeing Kelly Ripa as a guest on a talk show just before she was named as Kathy Lee’s replacement and I thought, “My God, she’s incredibly hot!” A couple of months later I actually watched _Regis and Kelly_ for the first time and the attraction faded a bit. She’s quite annoying. Other nominees: Jennifer Lopez - very hot, but not that great of an actress and her music is not my stlye. And I just don’t like her personality–she seems fake when I see her in interviews. Ricki Lake - couldn’t stand her talk show (I HATE that kind of show) and I know not everyone finds her physically attractive, but I can’t help myself. ---

If you want to like Kelly Ripa again, check out her appearance on Saturday Night Live. She did an awesome job. She’s got a natural talent for comedy. She’s also usually very good when she appears on Letterman. She comes across as anything but airheaded on those appearances. Brad Pitt. I couldn’t care less about all the Brad-Angelina-baby hoo-ha. I’m not sure he can act his way out of wet paper bag, because the only thing I’ve seen him in is _Troy_. But, lordy, he was HOT as Achilles! ---

Well, maybe I’m weird, but I can’t find an actor I see as irritating or stupid attractive. However cute he may be, the attraction stops cold. Or just never starts at all. Take Ben Affleck, for example. If I saw a still photo of him, I’d have to say he was pretty good looking. Just the type of guy I’d usually find appealing, visually. But, on screen, I just find him… yucky. It’s the smirk, I suspect. Or Bill Maher. I admit Bill Maher isn’t your usual dream-boat material, but I had a bit of a crush on him back in the day. Actually, quite a bit of a crush – sexual fantasies and so one. He was even on my fantasy five list for a while. Then he made a bone headed comment on _Politically incorrect_ and it as if it just turned a switch in my libido. It was like, “Wow! I can’t believe I’ve thought about putting my mouth on someone that stupid!” End of attraction. Now, I don’t have any trouble finding an otherwise appealing actor attractive even though he’s portraying a villain. [Jason Isaacs](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005042/) has played some Horrible People, but I still think he’s hot as hell. ---

Yes, that would have been brilliant, wouldn’t it? I’d just like to see him in something with a love scene in it. He seems like he’s be sexy as can be, but it’s hard to tell from the roles I’ve seen him in. ---

I, on the other hand like Kelly Ripa, although I don’t like the Regis show. I like her in those bleach pen ads. I think she’s funny. Eminem is my guilty eye candy pleasure. I’m not crazy about his music or what he stands for, but man, is he hot. ---
