See, now, these threads are always a little goofy, because people immediately start posting the names of people who are all multi-millionaires on account of being incredibly beautiful. What you’re really looking for in the genre of “people I probably shouldn’t be attracted to” are names like Condoleeza Rice. Just for example. ---

Esquire magazine’s annual “Women We Love” issue has one page in it featuring “Women we’re ashamed to love.” Condoleezza Rice and Natalie Merchant are two favorites of mine from there. ---

Ann Coulter is just not attractive. Her only nice quality is her hair, she’s just. Not. Pretty. Actually kind of ugly. Same with Paris Hilton. Just goofy looking. Sure, she’s not actively ugly, she’s vaguely pretty in the way all healthy young women are. But she’s certainly not in the top 10%. Whenever I hear people talking about how attractive these two are, I just can’t understand it. Brittney Spears however, really is beautiful, especially when she isn’t allowed to dress herself or put on her own makeup. Yeah, she’s dumb as a post and makes Tanya Harding look like a Duchess. But she’s very pretty and you can imagine she’d work hard to please, she’s got that needy quality about her. Brittney might be dumb, but she doesn’t seem DULL like the previous two. ---

Ann Coulter is the perfect example; laying aside any political considerations, she’s really, really ugly. Not quite as ugly as, say, Janet Reno, but far uglier than Phyllis Diller. There is no man on earth who, if he just met her in a bar and didn’t know she was a celebrity, would think she wasn’t a hideous dog. Paris Hilton isn’t ugly, but in any given medium sized high school she wouldn’t be one of the fifty prettiest girls. Nicole Ritchie, before she went anorexic, was much prettier. But since they’re presented to us as celebrities, there seems to be this emperor’s-new-clothes conditioning that guys all say they’re hot. ---
