# Images of England (non English dopers)

…I started going to England around 15 years ago (business), what I’ve observed:  
-England is a MUCH more prosperous country these days. Sat what you will about Maggie Thatcher, she did break the power of the unions-people work MUCH harder today.  
-English food has improved enormously; it is more varied and better prepared than in the past. I sttill loath toad in the hole and mushy peas!  
-The pub-brewed beer is excellent (thanks to the CAMRA people)  
-England seems to be full of oddball types (like PETA and the people opposed to wearing furs) However, GOD BLESS THE ENGLISH for tolerating these eccentrics (speaker’s ciorner at Hyde Park is a laugh a minute!

Argh, I meant the DOME, but the Wheel was in my head.
