You know, the stuff that is basically just an idea in Johnny Screenwriter or Jimmy Producer’s head. It makes perfect sense to me because otherwise you have listings for stuff like Freddy vs Jason. But wait you’ll say, Freddy vs Jason is a real movie. And you’d be right, Freddy vs Jason was released in 2003. So why it needed an IMDB listing in 1997 (when the movie was little more than the fever dream of a New Line executive) is beyond me. ---

I use IMDB all the time, and I never saw anything of what you are complaining about. So I think I’ll continue to use it in the same manner and ignore your rant. You must inhabit a different universe. ---

The key is to aviod IMDB discussion on any movie remotely interesting to imbeciles- if you stick to highbrow fare, there’s usually not a lot of “is he gay” comments for Dersu Uzala for example. Though maybe there should be. 🙂 ---

One of the reasons the IMDb Pro thing wolfs down so many thick inches of yak dong is that I used to enjoy reading the discussion forum for the film adaptation of _I Am Charlotte Simmons_ by Tom Wolfe, a film that is currently in the very early stages of production but still had an active message board of people who had read the book talking about it.
