After a lovely 3 1/2 weeks off, I’m all refreshed and glad to be back at work! 🙂

Okay, who are we kidding. My body is still in shock from having to get up at 5:15 AM again, the commute to work on I-294 was “Death Race”, and I’m already looking at the clock in anticipation of going home. ☹

I take it going south towards Indiana, so there really isn’t much going on. Going north towards O’Hare Airport, however, is a totally different story. It isn’t regular “road work”, it is some major changes/additions being made, and it will probably take another year or so to finish what they are doing.

Not only that, but it seems to change week to week - including how to get on/off. I’m in Elmhurst. Not fun any time I need to go N or S on 294 - so I avoid it as much as possible.

I worked in Valparaiso, IN for a few years. It was impressive how quickly you notice the pleasure of living/working/driving somewhere w/o traffic!

Yeah, the Elmhurst/Villa Park area is very close to where 290 meets 294. That area is a mess even when there isn’t construction!
