How about non-fictional TV couples? From “Hometime”: Dean Johnson and his current cohost. (JoAnne Liebler, now Robin Hartl). Can anyone explain why they pretend to be a couple, etc.? ---

The Doctor and Adric Tegan and Nyssa I’m sure there are lots of other permutations over the course of the series, but this one just seemed so overt to me even back in high school. The other Who fans I knew at the time thought I was sick, nah, I was just more cosmopolitan than they were. 🆒 Pilot and Zhan. They were alone on the ship quite often, and she could use her priest abilities to “soothe” his pain. He was more than indulgent in seeking out solar flares for her “savor”. Rygel and food. ---
