# Important petition for the future of Canada!!!

When I left work after taping the show friday night the petition had reached about 680,000 names. The whole Doris thing is taking on a life of its own, appearing in political cartoons etc. There was a write-up on it in friday’s Wall Street Journal. Political science profs are using it to assess the advantages of digital democracy. The site seems to be down at the moment but we were getting about 5 hits a second when we last checked.
