# Impoverished rape victim offered payoff not to prosecute un-remembered assault. Should she?

Well, I’m sure Leroy Jethro Gibbs or Brenda Lee Johnson could convince them to turn on their friends. But the police is this situation are not exactly mensches, methinks.

Which isn’t to say I don’t think Zöe shouldn’t push for a prosecution; I think she should. But shit happens, and her assailant has access to beaucoup sawbucks.
