Biongiorrno all,
Share your poetry 🙂 I’m making the following poem up from scratch, although parts have been jingling in my head a while:
Agape
A web of silk, of glistening gossamer
blown over by the faintest breeze
fragile strength from a spindly spider
growing gracefully with the dusks and dawns

At first the net cannot hold
but the tiniest insect
thrashing, desperate pleas for life
denied by the master of fates

An unwilling participant in the game of life
this insect adds its energy to the web
life forces, life faces, a thread in a tapestry
the web gradually grows greater

The seasons saunter and slowly shift
Days to months to years
the web grows to a fantastic strength
able to bear almost any burden

Tiny insects, large bugs, enormous dragonflies
all fall to the power of the web
fierce and terrible, gentle and natural
it conquers all

yet the web cannot fly, cannot soar into the heavens
the king controls a castle of constrained dreams

if a spider sleeps, perchance it visions
a metamorphosis, of freedom
But yet this exchange would lose the spiders strength
devouring, creating, werewolf strength

A perfect insect would have both
but alas, the world will never be perfect
until all insects are long gone
and so are we

* * *

I hope that wasn’t terrible :smack:
