Sauron: I’ve read “The Adventure of the Three Gables.” I don’t think Holmes’ confrontation with Steve Dixie is as good as the one with Dr. Grimsby. I also think “The Adventure of the Three Gables” a wretched piece of crap like most of the stories in The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes. I wish Doyle had quit with “The Last Bow.”
Oh, the story itself is bad – probably one of the worst in the Holmes collection. I do like the confrontation with Dixie, though.
Question – For some reason, I was thinking the villain in “Speckled Band” was named Dr. Grimesby Roylott. Am I off in that?
