Just like they shot Saddam Hussein and all those Nazis without a trial.
As the person speaking was in the United States, and presumably a US citizen, they are only subject to US laws, and any putative crime was committed in the US anyway.
If the UK wanted to get them for any crimes committed against any UK citizen, they would have to arrange for extradition.
Just to re-establish my Palin-bashing credentials, I call into question what exactly she wanted when she said that the Obama administration should pursue Assange like bin Laden had been pursuded.
Assange was in custody eight days after Palin wrote this. Does she consider this a failure by the Obama administration? After all, the Bush administration chased bin Laden around for eight years without catching him. Maybe Palin wanted us to do the same with Assange - let him run around loose and use him as an excuse to invade some random countries.
Yea.

We must stand shoulder to shoulder with our north Korean allies.
Indonesia.
It’s right next door to Australia so it could plausibly have been providing covert aid to Assange.
It’s full of Muslims. And oil.
We could finally get to the bottom of what you-know-who was doing in that muslim school he went to.

Apologies. I was joking but I’ll drop it.
