# In Dallas, who woke up next to whom when they found out it was all a dream?

When it was finally revealed that JR had never been shot because it was all a dream, who woke up next to whom? I need to know for what will be a very goo pop-culture reference joke.

OK, jump back.
It wasn’t when JR was shot.
Bobby Ewing had been killed at the end of the _prior_ season. Then things got really weird in the show and the last shot of the season was Victoria Principal waking up and finding Bobby Ewing showering. He says, “Good Morning” and she gets this weird look on her face.
Bang, the entire season was a dream. Move on.
This is so embarassing.

Bobby’s wife woke up to find him in the shower. This pretty much made all of season (6?) of Dallas Pam’s dream. JR remained shot in both timelines, btw.

I’m not going to look it up or anything, but I’m pretty sure that Bobby’s death was long after JR got shot.

Oh well, I don’t remember a damned thing about the show, except for the catchy theme song, seeing as I was about four when this took place. However you have supplied me with enough information for my hilarious joke that is sure to bring laughter and joy to this guy I know.

I was writing to Christopher Mastrangelo, creator of what I believe to be the one of the funniest comics (not just web-comic mind you) ever. Fluble. I honestly hold it in the same esteem as _Bloom County_, _Calvin and Hobbes_, and _The Far Side_. Nobody, outside of Patrick Duffy and Larry Hagman, knew that Duffy was coming back when that was shot. When Duffy filmed his scene, the crew and director actually thought it was a soap commercial. They filmed it that way. It was a whole different set.
On the set of Dallas, when Pam opened the door, her new husband, Mark Graison, was on the floor dead.
I actually give Dallas a lot of credit for this. They took the heat and now whenever somebody big leaves a show, they are afraid to kill them off. The show was beginning to decline anyway. Evil twins, not really dying-those plots are worse than a dream.

The series finale of _Newhart_ ended this way. They reconstructed the bedroom set of Bob Newhart’s previous show, brought in the actress who played his wife on that show, and pretty much revealed that the entire run of _Newhart_ was a dream.
