In any thread about food, someone will come along and post that they can make it better and cheaper at home. In any thread about a pop culture phenomenon someone will come along and loudly proclaim they’ve never heard of it. ---

We need a version of Godwin’s Law or Rule 34, where one needs it pointed out to them that just because something happened to a woman, it’s because it happened to a PERSON, or even a sentient living being, and that it probably didn’t happen because she was a woman. ---

Every time someone posts a thread about some phenomenon they have noticed, perhaps in nature, society, IT or wherever, the first few posters will write replies that show they recognise the phenomenon and establish that the OP’s perception was accurate. But then someone else will come along, ignore those replies, and state that they have never noticed the phenomenon as if that is somehow interesting or important.
