# In general, from where do you know the people you've dated?

Swing dancing. Since I started dancing about 7 years ago, every woman I’ve dated is someone I met dancing.

I’ve been in three serious relationships in my life. In all three cases, the woman was someone I met online, but not through any dating site. One through Prodigy way back in the day, one through a BBS we both happened to be on, and one through a message board.

In all cases, the individuals were friends first (in fact, one was my best friend for nearly a year before anything non-platonic happened between us).

I selected “circle of friends” (known as friendcest to people my age) and “we met through mutual friends”. My boyfriends have been half in one category and half in the other. Current (and permanent) SO was met through a mutual friend at her apartment warming party.
