I’m going to be the lone dissenter and say that my favorite George Harrison song of all time is “Got My Mind Set On You.” It’s one of the few songs that makes me deliriously happy every time that I hear it. When I heard that he had died, all that I could think about was the video and his complete nonchalant attitude in it - how everything, from the clock to the animals moved, but he didn’t seem to care. He just sat there, contentendly playing his guitar. Made me smile. ---

I am going to miss him the rest of my life. Very sad to see him go, so young… My favorites with the Beatles are: “If I Needed Somone” and -I’m not sure he wrote it, but he sings it: - “Happy Just To Dance With You” - a highlight of the “A Hard Day’s Night” movie! As a solo artist: “Isn’t It A Pity” - very moving, very heartfelt and “All Those Years Ago” - about the Beatles So many songs that served as the soundtrack of my life! “All Things Must Pass”, but I sure wish George could have stayed here with us… His music will live FOREVER! ---

I forgot about “It’s All Too Much”! I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one who jumps up and down like an idiot when I hear that song! Yes, I think it is my very favorite! And I know what you mean when whoever it was said that hearing some of these songs now make you feel both sad and happy at the same time. It’s the same with some of John’s songs and the Beatles songs. For me, when I hear “Strawberry Fields Forever” I feel both sad and happy… because of John’s being gone… And now there are only 2… Reading all this has made me sad… I am only comforted by knowing that IF There IS a God, that George wanted to be with Him, and now he is… And that maybe he is with John… There are no words to express how sad it is to know George and John are both gone, now. ---

Something If I Needed Someone This Song It’s not one of my favorites, but I always enjoy hearing Here Comes the Sun in February & March when I am absolutely sick of Midwestern winters. And reprise, the judge who ruled against Harrison was a fuckin’ idiot, pure & simple. Had I been judge – and I can play the guitar, tho’ not nearly as well as George – I would have laughed the simpleton who filed the suit out of court. There is no way My Sweet Lord was plagarism. Harrison is not my favorite musician by a long shot – he cannot hold a candle to Hendrix, but then who can? – but he, Paul, John and Ringo have influenced the pop culture of the past six decades more than anyone with the possible exception of Elvis Presley. RIP George, you will be remembered. ---

I always wondered how much that idiotic ruling really cost us. From what I remember, Harrison was quite upset at being ruled a thief, and he quit writing music for quite some time, while at the peak of his creative skills. ---

In the spirit of fighting ignorance, the suit over My Sweet Lord hit George particularly hard since there were also rumors that he had ripped off James Taylor for Something. I have heard My Sweet Lord played side by side with He’s So Fine (in copyright class), and there is a recurring measure that is identical to a non-musicians ear. Be all that as it may, the world is a much richer and joyous place because George Harrison passed this way. I am saddened by his passing, but his wisdom and joy of life have left a lasting impression on my life. I never heard of him to say an unkind word about anyone, including the man who tried to kill him and he was always a class act. ---

My favorite Harrison air guitar song? Why, Hari’s On Tour(Express), of course! I will always hold a soft spot for What is life?; it was the song that was playing on the radio when I laid eyes on the girl who was my first real crush back in 1st grade _sigh_ Bye, George. We’ll miss you. Tell John, Carl Perkins, Keith Moon, Brian Jones etc, that we said “Hey”. ---

Well, all of the lot, of course, but if I have to Shout Out; it’d be Here Comes The Sun. The first tune I tried to pick and sing on guitar at 11. So simple, pure, and soothing. And,three decades later, it eases the same ol’ weary mind. There’s not enough thanks for the likes of that… Good gracious glee onyond, George! ---

Am I the non-conformist here? No one has mentioned **End of the Line** (Travelling Wilbury song). One of my favorite songs of all time. Although I also really like **Here Comes the Sun**. ---

I got my Mind set on you. \> By the way. this is not a Willbury tune. It’s on George"s Cloud Nine album . My now 15 year old daughter loved this song whan she was a rockin’ an’ rollin’ toddler. . It ain’t up tp snuff musicaly but for a video,it kicks butt. . And nOT the amusement park video either! the one with the Pipe playing squrill and the moptop bust.
