Happy Caturday! At work, but wishing I was still huddled in bed under the covers because it’s a rather miserable day out there. It’s cold and wet and rainy, which clearly makes **LiLi** happy because she’s a sick and twisted soul. Me, I just want to hide until the sun comes out again. 😛 Plus I’m somewhat hung over from last night’s misbehaving with a bunch of old coworkers. I was bad. I had five pints over the course of the night and about that many cigarettes… it’s a wonder I managed to wake up bright and early at 7am, considering that the power went out in the middle of the night and my alarm for 7:30 wouldn’t have gone off. **swampus** , you’ve got me picturing a group of burly hairy men rifling through Soapy’s supplies and whining about the fact that it’s all store brand. Of course, since this is Vermont, said burly men are wearing Birkenstocks, which makes it even more amusing as far as I’m concerned. 🙂 ---

Hello all, happy Saturday. 🙂 It’s beautiful weather here, warm but not humid. I’m getting ready to make a quick run to the Safeway but have mostly just been resting, trying to recover from this bad summer cold I have. I was reading posts on a friend’s live journal and came across a Lissla Lissar; at first, I thought it was our **LiLi** , but looking a bit further I’ve decided it’s not. Which brings me to ask, where did the name Lissla Lissar come from?! _lol_ And please do forgive my ignorance here … after all, what is the SD for primarily but to fight ignorance, right?! 😃 And to -our- **LiLi** , so good to hear that the little one slept well last night; don’t worry, he’ll stop crying so much, really. ---

I seem to hate painting less today. Dunno why. But my neck is complaining about the ceiling painting. I have 1/2 of the ceiling done; just took a 20-minute break or so and am going back. Walls should be a piece of cake after that. Right? I’m hoping to finish walls today, but won’t push it if inspiration wears out. Oh no! Nothing like bad penis to ruin one’s evening… ☹ So, my tummy felt better and I took the two younger dogs to the park. Blaze didn’t seem too disappointed. He’s so arthritic, he just hangs out by the entrance anyway. We had a good time. I’ve been doing laundry and watching the Olympics some. I’m really kicking myself for not watching the opening ceremonies more. I hear it was spectacular. I’ll look for some clips on Youtube, and I’ve seen a few on the news. Tonight we’re having beef kebabs, with grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms, corn on the cob, and broccoli. Yummy _and_ low fat! Mmm. ---

That’s too bad. I am indeed enjoying the weather, so much so that I said optimistically, “Werll, it’s clearing up. Let’s go for a walk.” just before it started _pouring_ again. So the senior Lissars are gradually drying off. We got to the couldn’t-be-more-soaked stage pretty fast, and it was just funny. ---

Bummer, **FirstLight**. It could get better, though, right? And what of the junior Lissar? Dries faster cuz he’s smaller? Ceiling is done!!! Yay! Now I’m gonna harvest a few tomatoes to add to the cucumber salad that’s in the fridge. (It’s coming out of the fridge so that it’ll be a bit closer to room temp before I add the 'maters.) And then it’ll be on to the walls. Hooray!!! (or something). ---

Okay, so I’ll ask then–are we talking bad **penis,** as in stinky or the wrong size/shape or are we talking **bad** penis, as in he just does not know what to do with it or is a deadarse or summat like that? Yeah, I have no shame… I’m having a remarkably bad day today for several reasons but there’s nothing to be done about any of it so I’m just writing the whole bloody thing off. Yay. **gt,** I’m all done with the sanding, spackling and priming of my trailer, but it’s frakkin’ raining today (WTF is up with that? It’s AUGUST, fergossakes!) so I can’t start on the paint. I have a blinding white trailer in the driveway that I really want to see gloss leather brown and hunter green, dammit! Life disappoints, film at freakin’ eleven. Let me just say, though, that it’s extremely disappointing when you are working with someone toward getting to a breakthrough regarding certain things they do that are destructive and self defeating and they break the metaphorical halter and run right back into the fully engaged and thoroughly burning figurative barn. It is discouragement made manifest. _sigh_ ---

Sorry about the disappointing penis, **Primus** … I had it happen once, so I know what you mean. He was a nice guy, funny as hell, incredibly gorgeous to look at, and we were practically ready to rip each other’s clothes off over dessert on the third date… but somehow all that raging chemistry vanished the second we hopped in the sack. Ugh. I’m still cringing just remembering it. He may pleasantly surprise you yet, though. Maybe it was just nerves? **gt** , I’m jealous of your homegrown 'maters… I’m just itching for the season to start up here. Our little yellow plum 'maters are still green, though they’re starting to change colour ever so slightly, so I may be able to finally eat some in a week or so. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. There was definitely an element that could be improved by time and experience I guess, but not everything. No, he wasn’t smelly or anything, but he has one of those foreskins that don’t work and I just kept thinking to myself “If you had one of those surely you’d be straight down the doctor’s for a circumcision referral”. Kind of impedes things. He’s also an absolutely terrible kisser and, in general, just didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Anyway, enough details of my sex life. 🙂 ---

The door is installed, but despite careful measurements and stuff, one door doesn’t close properly. It is ever so slightly out of line, so the top edge hits the other door. \*\*FCD \*\* thinks he can figure out the best way to fix it. Very frustrating, tho - I thought we had it. While he and SIL were finishing the install, I had three - count 'em three - desserts going at once. I baked a pineapple upside down cake, using tidbits instead of rings, so there’s lots of pineapple! I also made a pan of brownies, and the filling for the banoffee is almost done cooking (sweetened condensed milk, boiled in unopened cans for 3 hours…) Plus I stuck a chickie in the rotisserie, boiled some N.O.T., steamed some corn. Supper has been et, dishes have been washed, and I’m chilling. Ice cream later. It never got over 80 degrees here - I love this weather!!! Poor old Bernie - she was standing by the food dishes, and all of a sudden, her hind legs gave out and she sorta sprawled down. She did get up right away, but still… ☹ I can’t help but think that this is the beginning of the end. Poor Bernie. ---

Been the recipient of that a few times myself. **Muppet** that’s exactly what I meant. 😃 So, we had an impromptu pool party of sorts today. Ol’ y’all know who and I were at the pool and the phone rang. What? I take my cellphone out to the pool. It was a friend wantin’ to know if we wanted to meet up at Hooter’s for some hot wings. Well, we didn’t want to go bein’ as we were at the pool and had goop all over us. So, says friend, what about if we bring some hot wings out and hang at the pool with y’all. Sure, says I. A couple minutes later, the phone rings again and it’s said friend who asks if it was ok if a couple more friends tag along. Sure, says I. Tell 'em to bring beer. So, about an hour later, there’s a cooler of beer and one hundred hot wings from Hooter’s along with four people. So the six of us hung at the pool, ate hot wings and drank beer. Decadence! Then, I made homemade peach ice cream. Ok, I had already planned to make some anyways. Anywho, a good time was had by all and everybody’s gone home. We are waaaaaaaay full. It’s nitey nite time. Nitey Nite Y’all! ---

Damn! I sure wish that I lived near **Swampy** , cause I’d sure hang out at his pool…spicy hot wings, beer, and then home made peach ice cream, oh yeah! I ended up leaving work early with a nasty almost-migraine and went to bed for a few hours. I now feel only mildly crappy. I don’t know if it’s hormones or weather changes (it _rained_ a few times over the last day or so!) but it was crappy.
