I’m so happy the ignore list is a usable feature. Please never disable the function. I’m to the point where I need to use it or leave so I don’t have to see certain poster’s vile spew in every post. God I’m happy this exists. It’s like having a medical rescue kit and is essential at some crisis you hope never happens. I thought nobody would ever be allowed to be so vile in so many posts for so long as a certain poster. Having just used the ignore list for the first time I can’t express my delight well enough. I only wish it could remove his name too or display it as white so I don’t even have to see it as a clickable link. The guy can’t stay out of anybodies thread and is obnoxious to everyone. Thanks for the ignore list feature and the grace it bestows the user. It’s going to be better than a handful of Prozac or Valium and you don’t need a prescription. 🆒 P.S. When they post in this thread I won’t see it. Yeh! 🆒 😛 Better yet I won’t be clicking their name even in this thread. 😛 ---

I originally come from Usenet and there killfiling obnoxious people was a normal and accepted practice, one which I have on rare occasions used here as well. Don’t know why there’s such a big deal about it here-another one of those SDMB memes which may be slowly turning around. ---

Bah, the ignore list is for weaklings! Where else in life do you get to simply blot a person out of existence, and not have to deal? That annoying co-worker just down the hall who always comes to your door and spends a half-hour of your precious work time chatting about his Bitch-of-the-Day®? That supercilious neighbor who seems determined to let you in on the secret doings of everyone around you, as if you are in cahoots with her? The jerk you always run into in the grocery store with the Bluetooth and no ability to control the volume of his voice? Your great at times until he gets three drinks into him friend you always have to put up with at the 19th hole because he’s your Monday night golf league partner? These are but a few examples of real-life situations where you could wish to God that there was an iggy button. But we learn to tough these situations out, and through so doing, end up calmer, more at peace with ourselves and the real world. Wimps, I tell ya, wimps! 😃 Now, if only someone was reading this… :eek: ---
