I don’t think he’s read much of what’s been published within the past 50 years. They don’t have much reading material at the compound aside from all the Watchtowers. ---

Very well, I admit to contact with “Miller” but not to “Miller’s” gender, which I didn’t know then either, and that is the point I intended to make. As for reading matter, I have five large bookcases in my room and probably 400 books on countless subjects, and from diverse publishers; including several books by Isaac Asimov, and countless volumes on baseball, humor, language, history, art, and so on–much like anyone’s home library. And I do have two bound volumes of Watchtower, from the 60s. That’s all. I have almost a dozen volumes of the Bible, including several in other lanuages, including Esperanto. ---

Being “vile” is not against the rules here, particularly not your hilariously antiquated notions of what is and is not “vile.” Intimating that you’d beat up another poster, on the other hand, is against the rules. So unless you can point to someone in this thread who has threatened you with physical harm, there is no double standard at play here. ---

All the same, I believe I had a right to resent being called “stupid,” and that was what provoked me.
