Well, **Saltire** came up with a really good team name. Does that count? We had 24 points, the winning team had 31, and we really were expecting to end up with a final score of about 15. It was a grueling night. That said, I’d be happy if we kept either **Soylent Green Is Jesus** (last night’s name) or **Bring Me the Head of Carmen Miranda** as our permanent name and put an end to this weekly improvisation deal. In fact, we could probably use both of them, just for those nights that involve more than 6 Dopers & co. ---

To be precise, **Cervaise** was the one that said, “Soylent Green is Jesus.” Right now, I can’t remember why he said it, but he did. I was merely the one that said it would be a good team name. **E. Thorp** , **Inkysplotchy** , or anyone else who didn’t make it: I challenge you to attempt two of the questions we couldn’t answer. Remember, when we were trying them, we had to do them within the time of a trivia round, while answering other questions as they were read. Since you won’t have those distractions, you’ll probably eventually figure them out. But I’d like to know if you’d have gotten them quickly enough for the pressure we were under. Both had the form: “What is the only English anagram of the following:” They were: 1. ASTRINGED 2. FIREIRONS #1 was about the third question of the first round, and #2 was second in the second, I think. Which meant that they drove us bonkers all night, even after we’d handed in the round without a good answer. There would have been violence if he’d come out with a third anagram question. What with these and all the other really tough ones last night, I went home exhausted. ---

There was some talk at the end of last week about possibly skipping this week due to a projected lack of attendance, but I’m up for it if anyone else will be showing. At least the chances of us sitting out on the deck under a leaky parasol in the rain are slim. ---
