> I have a guilty weakness for Russian dashcam videos. About 80% of them seem to include the word “blyat” (блять), usually in combination, as “suka blyat” (сука блять). I often heard something like “voyu mat” as well, but until **DPRK** ’s post I didn’t know I was hearing “твою мать”!

Related to “blyat” there’s the somewhat more family-friendly “blin”. Which literally means “pancakes”, but is very often used as euphemism for “blyat” much like English speakers say “fudge !”, “heck !” or French speakers sometimes exclaim “mercredi !” and “purée !”

[What is “purée” a euphemism for?]

[“putain”. Or, as the word is used in my circles, punctuation :)]

Thanks. Wednesdays indeed are shitty. But “enculundi” should exist and is indeed the shittiest.

Now that you make me think about it, I don’t think there is a euphemism for that’un. There should be one, surely. Let it enceforth be known across the land (well, OUR lands, y’all can fuck off) that we shall swear about ENCRIERS !
It scans, it rhymes, it’s perfect. Let it be so, bande d’encriers !

oooooh. i love research phase. and yes absolutely. I live in hope that some of my own ‘boring’ work/school writing will be helpful or interesting to someone eventually, so attribution is important.

Thanks. I also recognise yebat (ебать) as a common expression from those dashcam videos!
