That should do it. 😃 [/QUOTE] I’ve thought of that and a thousand other shocking replies, but my grandfather’s 96 and it would probably kill him. He hasn’t always been this bad. Up till about five years ago, he was very loving and we had a close relationship. In the past five years or so, his health has declined. Mentally, he’s not the same as he was either. He’s not exactly senile, but he’s gotten very depressed. More recently, his moroseness has turned to meanness. I don’t want to get in a big fight and ruin things for everyone else (plus I still love him), so these days I just walk away when he starts in on me. As for the other family members who go on and on about the marriage thing (various aunts uncles, and cousins), I pretty much walk away from them too. I only attend the huge, extended family get togethers because my grandfather doesn’t have much longer. After he passes, I doubt I’ll see the rest of them that much. I have a very close relationship with my immediate family, but I hardly know the extended set that much any more. ---

My 17 yr old niece is going out with this guy who is pretty much a …loser. My sister in law says he never takes her anywhere. So she has a great idea. She gets him gift certs to the movie theatre for xmas. They can go and have a good time. What does he do?? He goes alone, to some cartoon movie (Cars??) and with the money left over from only buying 1 ticket, he buys himself the huge-ass tub of popcorn. So much for that idea. I just died when I heard that. What a tool. ---
