The tutorial is canned from Discourse. The SDMB was set up by the admin team of the board back in the first half of 2020 and the Like Button was turned off right after we went live. But they don’t have control over the tutorial. If we ever turn it on, you’ll see the like button appear. But I don’t see that happening based on prior threads on this topic. ---

So I can’t like that this board doesn’t have a like button? 🤔 I think it’s a good choice. I find that likes make people do things they wouldn’t normally do and say things that they wouldn’t normally say. They make conversation into a numbers game. ---

Way back in the beginning, reaching certain goals would grant a poster higher trust levels which unlocked added benefits. Level 3 allowed posters to edit titles or posts and move threads and opened a special forum for their private use(going from memory). That got shut down _real_ fast. ---

The Level Up system means very little on the SDMB. Most of the features that would open up to you are not enabled. I think it is impossible to become a level 3 here, except for being appointed an extra powered Moderator. The bulk of us Moderators are only level 2 with Mod powers. Most regulars are level 2 I believe. ---

There’s an option to skip a section in the tutorial so you can still finish it and get your badge if you want it. Just reply with a message saying `skip` And, yeah, you’re already at the highest level that this board offers, since you’re not a noob. Congrats!!! 🥳 ---
