While I did say in another thread that I question the merits of antagonizing Trump into following through on his worst impulses, the actual insult doesn’t mean anything to him. He’s been called worse and as Cohen points out, you can’t out-bully the bully. There is no special name of the beast that will cause him to disintegrate once it is said in front of him. TACO itself isn’t actually even meant as an insult. It’s traders adapting to chaos. They are planning how to move money around based on Trump always chickening out. It’s not a slogan of resistance, it’s a slogan of capitalism. ---

Serious question for a moment: has anyone studied what happens to narcissists during the onset of cognitive decline? I know we can’t diagnose him either either, but he certainly displays some very strong symptoms of both (though I couldn’t say what type of cognitive decline / dementia). Does mental decline hasten or prevent narcissistic collapse, or no effect? What about the narcissistic personality in general? ---
