# In what unfortunate ways have your parents shown their distaste for your date/S0?

Sindad, compared with that professor I had whose favorite attire consisted of brown sandals, white socks, UM-plaid shorts (orange, green and white), yellow-on-blue shirt and a Navy cap, you’re positively discreet. He had the nerve to criticize other people’s clothes as unprofessional, too, which I never knew what smiley to use for: :eek: :o :dubious: :rolleyes: ?

Last January 6 we baptised my nephew. I was the godmother. On the eve and as it’s traditional locally, several friends were meeting for dinner; this year and because of the presence of several babies, at Bro’n’Sil’s. The same ones whose kid I was about to hold while he got his holy headwashing? Those. SiL DE-invited me, when both bros had assumed I was invited, because according to her “you are not part of that group of friends!” (I’ve known all of them except one longer than I’ve known her). Several of those friends brought their Xmas presents for me to the dinner 😛 I’m told SiL was going through more colors than a rainbow.
