I hate romance in movies and books. If there’s going to be a lot of kissing and sex scenes, I don’t wanna see it. I love getting dirty and playing in the dirt. ---

I’m blessed to have a young spirit and a young mind, even at nearly 60 yo. One of my favorite ‘kid’ things to do is to run in the sprinkler or splash barefoot in the puddles when it rains. I have a family with 4 young children across the street from me, and we have a standing date for puddle splashing on those rare occasions when we get a good rain. ---

I spent my 40th birthday at Circus Circus in Las Vegas winning prize tickets. (I picked out something for myself, something to take home for my nephew, then gave the rest to a random little girl there.) I go nuts over anything Alice in Wonderland. I flipped out when I got to meet The White Rabbit at Disney World. I slept cuddling a stuffed animal until 2011 when we got our dog that likes to rip apart stuffed animals so I had to put all mine “up”. I wear my hair in pigtails sometimes. I’m 41 years old. ---

Kids’ cereals are the best. I also love new office supplies. I still get excited flying, or traveling by train. ---

On more than one occasion, I’ve been dressed and ready to go to work, and then at the very last minute I’ll say “Fuck it! I’m playing hooky today!”. I also watch cartoons. ---

I still sniff Magic Markers - I love the smell. Not Sharpies, mind you, but the fat, metal ones. Brings back memories of childhood. And I still wish on shooting stars. ---

When ever I eat popcorn, which is rarely, the first handful I eat I have to cram as much into my mouth as possible. After that, I can eat it like a normal human adult. ---

Whenever I order something online it’s like a flashback to my childhood while I’m waiting for that package to arrive. As a kid I’d save up box tops from some crappy cereal, mail it in and get some crappy toy in return. It’s the anticipation, hoping this time it’s going to be something really cool! Of course now, I’m rarely disappointed, it usually is something really cool. ---

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that the house I’m in is, in fact, _my_ house. Even after twenty years, I still feel like my parents are going to be home at any moment and I’m going to get in trouble for not doing my chores. Every now and then, the wife and I will buy a tub of ice cream and call it dinner. After all, who’s going to stop us? 🙂 ---

Like a kid? I guess it’s my belief that if I do what’s right, do only what harm is necessary and keep faith in my life that the world will be in some small measure a better place. The world is an ugly place. Finding what good I do is like finding a single pixel of good on the painting of [del]Howard Stern[/del] Dorian Gray. ---
