# In which Fergie (Black-Eyed Peas) attempts to sing \*her\* amazing National Anthem - and misses.

I remember covering a San Francisco 49ers game where Jane Krakowski from _Ally McBeal_ was booed for her rendition. I don’t remember her doing anything especially egregious, although to be honest, I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to be at NFL games in those days that she could have sung it like death metal and I don’t think I would have noticed. I do recall that she did a reprise of the last couple of lines, which probably didn’t earn her a lot of favor with folks who were good and ready to sit down.

Is that how most people think of her? I watched a couple seasons of that show, but had actually forgotten she was on it. To me she is much more memorably “Jane Krakowski from _30 Rock_”.

Sure, but this game took place about 20 years ago, when _30 Rock_ was likely nothing more than a twinkle in Tina Fey’s eye.
