After much searching, many Ebay bids and general wanting I have finally managed to get a Wii. Well, I don’t actually have it yet but I won it on Ebay last night and the seller accepted my paypal payment sometime overnight. (See, I’m a good buyer…I authorized the paypal about 45 seconds after the auction ended!) I can’t wait! ---

There was a thread a while back wherein people posted their Wii numbers for Mii exchanges. Maybe we can start another one once you have yours in hand. Also, SoCal Wii Dopefest? 😃 ---

**one of us…one of us…** Awesome! I had to wait about a month to get mine - it was a Xmas gift pre-sale - and it was worth every minute. I’m not a huge gamer, but it’s just a blast. WiiSports alone is so much fun, and I can’t recommend Super Mario Galaxy highly enough. Are you getting an extra controller with it? That’s the one peripheral I’d recommend from the get-go. ---

Accessories can be found in abundance, it was the console that I couldn’t get. I’ve gotta get my SO hooked, so the 2nd controller is a must have. ---

A little off topic, but are Wii still that hard to find in the US? They’re easy to get hold of (both new and used) over here, so I had assumed the shortage was over. ---

[/QUOTE] Very hard to find. Most stores sell out of them within hours (minutes?) of stocking them on the shelves. ---

I was told by a Circuit City that they had gotten a few 2 weeks before I was there and didn’t expect more for a month. Similar at Best Buy.
