I’d get one of those open ended round the world ticket and go to South America, or back to Spain, on to Morocco, maybe Italy and/or Greece, then maybe to the Near East (if it ain’t too hairy) or Turkey, and thru central Asia (all those new -stans) to western China and Tibet. If I do it right, I might even make it down thru Indochina to Micronesia. Of course, I’d budget in trinkets and postcards to send to Eve. OR I’d go back to school and become either a high school science teacher or a community college prof. …anyone else seen _Brewster’s Millions_? ---

Well if I have to spend the money on myself… I would probably buy myself a really good camera and plan a trip. Ankor Wat has been calling me, as has Great Zimbabwe. A chance to go on a safari is too much to pass up. Plus I would buy a second ticket on the chance that some beautiful woman would be willing to join me. ---

Build myself that new computer I always wanted ~$2000 All the DVDs I want that I don’t have ~$120 A couple nights at the Kahala Mandarin in HI ~$1500 (I’m also going heavy on the room service, okay?) Company for said night at KM ~ $500 (not too rooty or tooty, but that’s okay) Trip to New York - the rest. 🙂 ---

Hmmm…I could use the money to deal with all those nasty practical things like student loans, health insurance, dentist appointments, a new job interview suit. Or I could use it to buy a camera and take a solo journey along the Great Silk Road, follow Marco Polo’s route, learn a couple dozen languages, ride a camel, and write a book about it… Move back to Prague. Find an apartment with a balcony. Buy a piano. Make my living singing torch songs. Become chemically dependent on absinthe, die of consumption. An excellent investment: I could hire a personal trainer and try to get back into shape. Spend a bit on a really fabulous haircut and a new wardrobe. Join a country club or two, learn to sail… My name is Jennifer. It’s only a matter of time until I’d find someone willing to make me a Trophy Wife. I could always open a school for boys in the estate left me by my disagreeable Aunt and marry the gruff old German professor who has been making eyes at me across the hall at the boarding house (I assure you it’s a MOST respectable establishment, run by a friend of my dear Marmee). Don’t you think Fritz is a romantic-sounding name? I could still pen penny romances on the side. If only dear Bethie were alive to see this. ---

I’d probably spend at least some of it hiring workmen to come in and finish the remodeling job I’m doing on my kitchen. Then I’d haul up a chair and a beer and watch them work. There’s nothing so entertaining as watching someone else do all the heavy lifting. If there’s anything left, I’d travel a bit. Fly out to Colorado, do some hiking, visit some friends, maybe try to arrange a stopover in NYC to wine and dine the source of all this largesse. (OK, I seem to remember that Eve can’t drink, but how euphonious would “iced tea and dine” be?) ---

With ten grand (American) I think I’d boost up my book collection a bit. Let’s say 70 copies each of _Vamp: The Rise and Fall of Theda Bara_, _Golden Images: 41 Essays on Silent Film Stars_, _Platinum Girl: The Life and Legends of Jean Harlow_, and _Anna Held and the Birth of Ziegfeld’s Broadway_. That should leave me with around $1775, which I’d use for a weekend in NYC. ---

If I have £10,000, man is that gonna be easy to blow. Kind of like Brewster’s Millions on a smaller scale. First thing is a flight to Detroit to see **Brynda** , of course - £2000 (ish) Spending money for said trip to Detroit - £2500 Lots of expensive clothes - £1500 CDs and DVDs - £1000 New Hi fi - £1000 New DVD player and huge ass tv £2000 Nuff said. Being practical I’d say a car and start paying for college. _sigh_ Practical is never fun. In my wildest dreams I’d just buy Danny to be my sweetie forever and live happily ever after… but I doubt that’ll happen anytime soon _growls at the blonde ditz_ If it were for fun… Make-up- Something nice, like MAC, just go and let them try to make me pretty, just try. And then buy everything they used and pray to all that is good that I can get it at least half that nice by myself. A dog- an adorable little fluffy lap dog and whatever it takes so that my sister’s demon mutt from hell doesn’t eat it. A nice haircut- yeah I realize that a number of guys are going to kill me for it… but eh, it might be worth it. Nothing too drastic, just cut it to about waist length and layer it and cut it so that I have real banga, not the fluffy stuff that fall into my face at the end of the day. The Beauty Trilogy- just a couple copies, I have plans for those books A whole lot of Creative Memories stuff- I love the whole scrap booking idea, it looks like a lot of fun but I really don’t have the money to get into it. A nice camera- I mean, a really nice, goof-proof camera for the above mentioned scrap booking The works for prom- yeah I know prom is expensive as heck, thus why I’d go all out if I had the money, do you think they have limos in baby blue and silver? (our class colors) or one with a nice white tiger? (class mascot) A trip to Puerto Vallarta with friends just to prove that if I had Danny there I could have a heck of a lot of fun without the alcohol. Natural High Kitty ---

\Right Brain\ Pay off credit card Nazis and the gummints devious little college loan scam. \Left Brain\ Rent an RV, wire it for digital video and internet webcasts. Drive cross country with several friends to all the big hot spots like Vegas, spring break in Havasu, Padre and Panama Beach, Daytona, Indy, Mardi Gras, Super Bowl, and whatever whim we come across. Drink copious amounts of liquor, court several not so reputable females in each burgh, and video tape/webcast all the debauchery ala Girls Gone Wild. I love my left brain sometimes 🙂 ---
