Thatā€™s not fair. But she has burned through a few of them. She hasnā€™t had the deadly awful damaging hair straightner because our hair person is a pro who doesnā€™t want a kid to have demolished hair at 15. He uses something much less damaging that does MOST of the job, and then the **Fem-Bot** irons out the rest. It is true. She is for-evv-uhr worrying about her hair. Magic Perms, eh? Hmmmā€¦ ---

Everytime I go in to get a haircut, the woman doing it says ā€œOh, I wish I had hair like yours, it is so nice and curly.ā€ (Note, curly hair on a young boy, is not really all that fun for the boy.) I tell each of them the same thing. ā€œNo you donā€™t. If you had it, you would want it straight. Every woman I know that has straight hair wants it curly and wavy, every woman with curly hair wants it straight. That is how you make your living.ā€ There are very few people that are happy with their hair. The fact that the same happens in Asia just tells me it is a multi-cultural issue, not just an indicator of something particularly unhealthy about American culture. BTW Hazel, you looked gorgeous. If I was 20 years younger, I would make the 4 hour drive to Chicago and convince you to spend some time with me. šŸ˜‰ ---
