I don’t agree that Saxby’s ads were as scummy as the knee-jerkers did, nor did I think they were pure as the driven snow. I wasn’t a fan of the fact that Cleland couldn’t run an ad without reminding us that he lost his limbs in Vietnam, but I didn’t think it was “scummy” as much as off topic. Both were what I have come to expect from your average politician. ---

So it is about a work week since one of about seven people decided to use the office computer to cruise a gay site. Has anyone manned up yet? This case does not require Sherlock Holmes. Do we have a list of workers at the office? Is one named ‘Jimmy?’ It ought not to be hard to find out. ---

Chambliss stated that he [fired the staffer](http://www.ajc.com/news/georgia-politics-elections/sen-chambliss-apologizes-for-649259.html)today. The staffer remains anonymous, even as to gender/age, etc., which might be for the best for their safety (Atlanta having a huge gay population and like any large population you have your loose cannons) but it would be nice to have assurance a head rolled over it even if it’s not piked on the gate of Burkhart’s (an Atlanta gay club). Chambliss apologized, calling this “completely unacceptable” and vowed to put it behind him while getting back to blocking gay legislation and voting straight party line on every issue regardless of merit of the Democratic position. ---
