This morning, we went to the zoo. The one here in Knoxville, because one needed to go for class and the other two of us just went along because, well, it’s a zoo. Things were going fine, a typical visit to the zoo, when we came to the gorillas. They are lovely gorillas, close to the glass observation area, hanging out looking over Gorilla Valley. The smaller of the two started moving towards the bigger one, hesitated…I thought it was going to be a fight. Instead, there was monkey lovin’ going on right in front of our eyes and the eyes of the others there. “What are they doing, dad?” “They’re hugging.” The female’s feet were sticking up in the air. While gorilla sex was not what we planned to see on our visit to the zoo, it became one of the highlights of the trip. Along with the [Marshmallow Peeps Fun Bus!](http://www.marshmallowpeeps.com/50_anniversary/fun_bus.html). It was at the zoo too! ---

Do you have to observe the two click rule in linking to ape sex? Hey, last time I was at the Kansas City zoo the chimps were eating their poop. I think monkey sex would be preferable. ---

At Busch Gardens in Tampa, a few weeks ago, I got to observe Wild Tortoise Sex. The male slowly chased the female across the enclosure, then as he was mounting, he craned his neck way over her head and was making some serious tortoise grunts and groans. He was also throwing up food on her. I’m not sure if this is Typical Turtle Foreplay or not… ---

Whoo-hoo **Lsura** got to see some action at the Knoxville Zoo. We went to the Knoxville Fair today and had contemplated going to the zoo also. For those who don’t know they give a discount to the zoo when you go to the fair they are located right next to each other. The fair was okay. Had I only known what was going on at the zoo…☹ Get your mind out of the gutter, I’m talking about the Peeps Bus 😉 ---

Zoo’s are dirty, naughty places. Oh how I love them. Let me tell you the story of two young peccaries in love: A couple years ago when NotSoBoringDaughter was 3, we went to a zoo to see innocent playful animals romp in the sun. First we saw a moose, submerged to his nose in the water. Then we saw a tiger running around playing. Then we saw the peccaries. Wild hairy Pigs Of Kinky Lust. Now it was exciting that the daddy pig was on top of the mommy pig, obviously playing leap frog. It’s fun to watch animals in their care free joy. But the daddy pig just couldn’t quite make it over mommy pigs back, so he had to try again and again. NotSoBoringDaughter bought the explanation to this point. But how could I explain why I burst out in a fit of hysterical laughter when the daddy pig licked the mommy pigs bottom after the game was over? I think that we immediately went to get icecream. And to this day Boring Mom smacks me when I suggest some good Pig Style Lovin’. ---

Another zoo experience. During one summer, in college, I was working at a day camp for kids. One Friday we had a field trip to the zoo, and I was leading a group of 9-11 year olds, mostly boys. At the lion pen… Male lion lets out an unearthly roar, then mounts the nearest female and starts in on the… er… Mane Event. Kids are now jumping up and down, and cheering, “Yeahhhh!!! Get you some!” “Okayyyyyyy, kids… let’s go… uh… look at the monkeys for a while.”
