To moderate Democrats. The good news for the Democrats about kicking the can a very short way down the road is that the TP might try it again in a few months. By then they’ll figure out what went wrong this time and be ready for another shot. Not to rain on the party already in progress, but isn’t this a tad premature? This could still go massively off the rails. I won’t start the celebratory drinking until the ink is dry. The “My country is run by morans” drinking will continue as usual. ---

Tea Party person checking in. Yeah. I’ll take my medicine. This whole thing was ill-considered and didn’t result in anything positive. It will hurt the GOP at a time when self inflicted wounds are the last thing the party needs. So, enjoy your gloat party. Since you’re all filthy hippy liberals so you’ll probably buy a bunch of beer and snacks on your EBT cards that I’m actually paying for. So really, you should thank me. Or at least don’t bogart the bong. ---

Not to be a killjoy, but do we have any idea when Boehner is going to call the vote? And I feel sorry for the guy. I can’t imagine he’s had fun trying to hold his caucus together when the people driving the bus off the cliff also want his head on a platter. There has to be some small part of him that wants to tell him own people to fuck off and get over it. ---
