Correction: [Edwin Eugene Bagley](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Emblem)’s National Emblem March. I thought it was probably Sousa, too. I had never heard of Bagley before today. Thanks, SDMB, for fighting my ignorance. ETA: Curses, ninja’ed! ---

For anyone else who may have wondered, all attendees at the Inauguration had to be tested for Covid within 48 hours of the event and have a negative result. And all had to be wearing masks, as we saw. ---

Yay! Unable to watch today but will have to watch (not listen to) trump hitting the metaphorical road later. Been looking forward to this all day. I was just hoping we weren’t having an all-out civil war launching that I would find out about when I checked my phone. ---

Man, I just couldn’t stop the tears when Kamala was being sworn in. I’d wipe one away and another would appear in its place. When Joe was being sworn in, I think I just had a stupid grin across my face. The poet, all the singers (Gaga, JLo and Garth were just perfect picks; loved Gaga’s outfit and passion and emotion, loved seeing Garth run from president to president like he was working the stage at a concert! Amanda Gorman’s turn of phrase took my breath away at times). All in all I’m just over the moon right now. ---

Am I remembering this wrong: isn’t there an occasion (I thought it was the Inaugural Address) when the opposition party gets equal time to make a rebuttal? ---

The Republicans shouldn’t get any rebuttal for the next four years at least, considering the destruction their head manbaby wreaked when he didn’t win and none of the rest of them had the courage to put him in a timeout. But certainly not at Biden’s inauguration. Manbaby rebutted that quite enough. ---
