A lot of siblings are close, it doesn’t mean they are bleeping each other. My two neices are like that but they are from Hawaii. Maybe it’s a hawiian thing? ---

This isn’t a matter of “close” or “affectionate,” Handy. It’s downright creepy. I mean, they were Frenching each other at the Golden Globes! And the whole “in love with” and sobbing bit at the Oscars . . . I think family counseling is called for here. ---

It gets better. Evidently they’re buying a house and plan to live and work together. And this is from an interview with Charlie Rose. Maybe I’m a little dense (I don’t have any sisters), but I’ve never understood why the brother-sister incest thing seems creepy to so many people. If you have a good-looking sibling around your own age, wouldn’t you be tempted? ---

Eve, yes the passage is a verbatim quote. Though the girl does seem a little empty-headed, I’d mark the odd phrasing up to breathless enthusiasm and inexperience. Ever see your own unpracticed conversation reduced to transcription? Not pretty. And damn you, Cabbage! That was going to be my gag! ---

I’d have to back Arnold on this one. It may be culturally unacceptable, but who wouldn’t want to at least sneak a peak? (Come on, be honest here. Use your hormones, not your superego.) I mean, don’t we have a wonderful concept called “Oedepus Complex”? What’s that about? **Incest**. At least the sister is closer in age. 😉 Though from a cultural aspect, yeah it’s creepy. As for the confusion of the quote, it’s entirely possible it’s simply the effects of impromptu speaking, especially when excited. Try taping a conversation of your own some time, trying to answer impromptu questions on the fly, and see how well you fare. ---

I think the lesson in that story is not to sleep with familt members. Plus, the definition of “Oedipus complex” specifies that it’s a personality disorder. “I was born in this town, I was raised in this town, and I’ll probably die in this town.
