# Incredible powers discovered/revealed on Star Trek that are used once and dismissed forever

Oh, OK, I had thought it was two names, not a name and a description. Yeah, a security chief named “Freeman” sounds plausible.

I thought the shuttlecraft weren’t introduced until later, which is why one wasn’t used to rescue Sulu and the rest of the landing party in “The Enemy Within” (the two Kirks episode.)

The shuttlecraft first appeared in “The Galileo Seven,” which was the 13th episode of the first season (14th after the first pilot). In other words, it fell in the middle of the season, when they were probably still waiting to hear that they’d been picked up for another 13 episodes. (It had been filmed in late September, soon after the series debuted.)
