# Independent Scotland's name?

That brings to mind if Mexico has ever objected to the state of New Mexico?

One gets the feeling that by the centennial of the Yugoslav Breakup in the 2090s the Greeks will still have not got over themselves about this.

And to your other question: much of what is the current US state of New Mexico (plus the TX and OK Panhandles), was \*already \* the Mexican territory of Nuevo México before the big land grab, so it is just an acknowledgement of “yep, it’s that same place”.
