# India leads the world in open defecation

Well, couldn’t they sentence them to CLEANING UP the various deposits? Like the way a lot of place sentence minor traffic offenders to clean litter from highways. It needn’t be draconian. Simply knowing you’d have to spend three hours cleaning up shit each time you got caught ought to be enough to discourage most people.
