How does 463 fit in then? That one is pretty recent. ---

Sigh. I suppose we’ve fully run out of possible new area codes with 1 or 0 as their second digit? OK, 463 is fine then. Better than 460, that’s for sure. I lived in Chicago during the 312 / 708 split, and in L.A. for 213 / 818. Landed on the wrong side of both, but at least 708 and 818 followed the Old Ways and are, on their face, Legit Area Codes.
