After having seen Harrison Ford at the latest Academy Awards, I should think the next movie would involve Indy trying to steal the inventory of a medical marijuana clinic. ---

I agree that Indiana Jones needs to fight Nazis. So why not set the next film _during_ WWII? Early in the war, with Indy having to get through occupied Europe before the Nazis can get their hands on some mystic gizmo - maybe the Spear of Destiny? Or set it later in the war, when the tide has turned, and it’s about the desperate scramble for the treasures (some supernatural) of Europe in the ruins of her greatest cities. Sort of like _Monuments Men_, except with more face melting. ---

Ford’s too old now to backtrack to the end of the war. **Edit:** Of course you may have meant another actor. ---

So have Indy run into the last generation of Argentinian Nazis in the mid-1960s, just before Eichmann was caught. They’re breeding the Fourth Reich super soldiers (a completely new cinematic idea) and it’s all tangled up with the Sword of Salah-ah-Din. It all hinges on the big reveal when Indy, stumbles into Eichmann’s hidden Fuhrer office, with full Nazi regalia, and drops his first f-bomb: “You gotta be fuckin’ kiddin’ me!” And Eichmann gets away… but Indy is assured by a team of very hard men with accents, “We’ll take care of him. Trust us.” ---

Set it during the Battle of the Bulge. The Nazi’s kick ass and make huge gains until Indy gets the SoD. He single-handedly saves Europe by taking the wind out of the Nazi’s sails that way. ---

Have HF as older Indy stumble upon Nazi’s in SA, more or less right after CS. But have flashbacks to younger Indy (played by???)finding and saving the Spear back during WWII itself. ---

Say what you will about his acting, but he definitely has presence. I couldn’t see another actor competing for part screen time with him. I still think they could pull off something great if set in the 1950’s and using ex-Nazis. Just no God awful Mutt! And no digital landscapes! And lots of Nazis!!! ---

Temple of Doom is a very good movie, it just feels a little out of place with the others. Short round gave us the best line in _Clerks_ though: “No time for love, Dr. Jones.” So there’s that. I hope they make one just to see Shia LaBeouf not get cast in it, seeing as the last one went to all the trouble of passing him the baton. I don’t care for him at all.
