Hey guys, I’m looking for some love songs that are from more modern artists, such as Death Cab for Cutie or other bands similar to that. I guess like indie kind of stuff. I’m just looking to see what you guys choose as awesome love songs from a bunch of different artists. Here’s a few that are awesome, Casey’s Song by City and Colour Phone Went West by My Morning Jacket Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect by The Decemberists I’m looking for things kinda like that. Just sorta chill songs, but with good lyrics. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks. ---

A few off the top of my head: “June on the West Coast” by Bright Eyes “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” by Death Cab for Cutie “Our Way to Fall” by Yo La Tengo “La Cienega Just Smiled” by Ryan Adams (a personal favorite) Also if you have iTunes, they have an Essentials playlist called “Indie Love Songs” or “Indie Wedding” or something like that. Lots of good stuff there. ---

A couple that I like: –“The Postman” by American Analog Set (the original is ok, but I like Styrofoam’s “Just like the 90’s never happened” remix) –"(This is) The Dream of Evan and Chan" by Dntel ft Ben Gibbard (more or less the first Postal Service song) –“Stay as Sweet as You Are” by Brady Brock ---

“Did I Tell You”, Yo La Tengo “China Doll”, Julian Cope “Let’s Go”, The Feelies (could be a love song. Who knows?) “Perfect Lovesong”, The Divine Comedy “These Photographs”, Joshua Radin “Lost”, Morrissey (not really a love song, either, but has the same type of yearning) ---

\*Hands Down \*by Dashboard Confessional _As Lovers Go_ by Dashboard Confessional \*Be Still My Heart \*by The Postal Service I agree with _I Will Follow You Into the Dark_. A little macabre, perhaps, but about never ending love. Along those lines, _What Sarah Said_ (by DCFC) would work, too.
