Whew, back. We have no reason to think anyone got unauthorized access or stole passwords. Nonetheless, to be on the safe side, it would be a good idea to change your password. Your SDMB new password should NOT be one you use to protect bank accounts or other sensitive information. ---

If you haven’t caught the perp, what prevents him from doing it again? Are there things a large web site (like SDMB) can do to protect itself from attacks like these? ---
