[Here](http://http://worldcomicbookreview.com/index.php/2016/06/03/ten-favourite-comic-book-infographics-2016/) is a list of comic book infographics.

An infographic on [global carbon footprints](http://http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/b992ab5bc8944a3d00d1d4f12bde8d19.jpg).

And a [wonderful infographic](http://http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fda61bf6e6c1a746f5a6dcb624e62332.jpg) on game controllers.

Quite obsessed. Trying to do one for an upcoming presentation and making a meal of it, which suggests to me that the people who do these things have a lot of skill. Any favourites?

None of your links are working for me.

There are lots of interesting links from a Google search. Amazon has lots of books as well. Looks like of templates and building blocks are available to start with.

But to me, too many look like poorly designed simple USA Today graphics. Be sure you understand your audience; if it’s a serious business presentation, don’t do it! Who will be seeing this? What’s your topic?

Crap, nor for me. That is odd.

Here is the first one: [Our Top Ten Favourite Comic Book Infographics in 2016 - World Comic Book Review](http://worldcomicbookreview.com/index.php/2016/06/03/ten-favourite-comic-book-infographics-2016/)

I’ll scrape up the others, and some more besides.

And yes the infographic was for a serious business presentation but it is looking like a primary school student’s effort so far. My skills need some finesse-ing.

Yeah. As someone who does this sort of thing for a living, I’ve discovered that an awful lot of people confuse “figuring out the tool” with “being able to do a competent job.”

They proudly show off stuff, some of it very expensively printed, that looks like a chimp with ADHD did it, and crow about how easy Publisher/Word/GIMP or **shudder** Powerpoint is to use.

Kudos for figuring out it takes a wee bit more than knowing what button does what.

I think the trap is the ready access to templates. This lulls users into thinking that it is a mechanical exercise. I’ve worked with enough graphic designers to know that it is not, but I had guessed that my own amateur skills would get me across the line nonetheless. They cannot.

Average UK rainfall, 1971-2000 - [http://www.blanka.co.uk/supersize?product=2639](http://www.blanka.co.uk/supersize?product=2639) A beautiful infographic.
