I bought a Micro Touch hair trimmer at Walgreens & it’s worth every penny I paid. It’s much better than regular barrel-style trimmers for ear & nose hair. AND, just like the commercial said, I can clean up the nape of my husband’s neck in a jiffy. Good product.

Thanks ever so much!

I’ve always been pretty kitchen illiterate. I’m getting better, what with the future Mr. SA being a great cook, and lots of time here at SDMB 😃

We have a store in town called _As Seen on TV_. All that they sell is stuff from infomercials. You can go in and actually look at the stuff before you buy.

Pretty much all of it can be found at chain stores such as Walgreens and CVS as well. I don’t think I’ve gotten any of my infommercial stuff by mail.

Seconded. But no infomercial involved. I picked up one up for $2 at a garage sale. Best two bucks I ever spent. 😃

> I actually bought mine off of QVC about 10 years ago and have used it nearly every single day since! It’s a tv tray-type table that you can slide right up to you on the couch or easy chair as close as you like. It’s wonderful for doing crafty stuff in front of the tv or eating dinner or reading, etc. I love it!
>
> I believe they had just come out when I got mine. Now there’s commercials for them (But wait! If you call now, we’ll send you an extra one for free!) I want to get one (or two) for my Dad. They look exactly like the one I got but they’re obviously smaller, about the size of a standard tv tray. That really disappoints me because it’s so nice to have the large area that the older Table-Mates had. I wouldn’t trade mine for two of the smaller ones. Even if I did pay much more for it than what they’re selling them for now.
>
> Still, hooray for Table-Mate!

> Also, my Dad loves his George Forman grill.

Well, you could buy [this one](http://www.ssww.com/store/product/sku=16174/grp=HCR/sbgrp=FRN/i=1/), or [this one](http://www.dynamic-living.com/overbed_table.htm), instead of [got this one](http://www.tablemate.com/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=tablemate/itemdetl.html?item=4-TBL2-1227&src=ADW8000). Both of the first 2 look bigger.

And I received the Foreman grill for Christmas a few years ago. I really like it, except I am wanting a bigger one now.

I got sucked into the Cher shampoo “system” back in the 80s. It smelled great, but it didn’t give me “Cher Hair.”

I bought off of QVC a buckwheat hull pillow and I have slept with it every night for at least 11 or 12 years.

Supports my head perfectly and I don’t have to mush it up or fold it in half.

I even bought a 40# bag of buckwheat hulls and made my own.

My kids turned out to have a dust might allergy and they now have buckwheat hull pillows.

The only draw back is that they cannot be washed or cannot get wet at all. It ruins the hulls as they expand. ( My son puked on one of my pillows and…well…I learned that way.) I just air them out outside if any of us have had a bout of germy illnesses.

I have to say it was money well spent.

I said this in another thread, but I absolutely\* love\*\*\* Kaboom!\*\* It really works just as well as the ads claim (I was able to clean a fairly dirty shower stall using **K** aboom!\*\*\*\* and a _paper towel_).

I will admit to waiting to try it until it was available at Wal\*Mart, though! 🙂

I got one of the glass cleaning devices from the seen on TV store and it works great. Nothing complex, just a handle with a swivel head and a more or less triangular pad with a slip on microfiber or mesh cover. Easy to get into corners and hard to reach places and does most cleanup with plain water.
