first of all, the obligatory: **Fireman** how YOU doin? Secondly, I must make an addendum to the WELDER issue. For last night, as I enjoyed a rootbeer float at The Zephyr, I was shocked and amazed to encounter THE WELDER. Yes, THE WELDER of my fantasies who works at the Chicago El Stop. I couldn’t believe it, I shook my husband silly, THAT’S THE WELDER, THE WELDER, MY GOD! i was one second away from rushing up to him and giving him my web address so he could read the story I wrote about him, and then he stood up and turned around. Yes, this was definitely the man, but…he…was wearing…(and I’m sorry hardygrrl)…a GOLDBERG t-shirt. WWF? No no no. The Welder is supposed to be a…a…I don’t know, but not a wrestling fan. So, I’ll take welders, but only in welder costume. jarbaby ---

Cartoonists. Honest. Although, as a college professor (TA really) I suddenly drew more attention then ever before, or since for that matter. Personally, I’ve always been attracted to peoples of artistic talent. Dancers, singers, painters.Though notoriously flaky, this crowd always, drew me in. ---

Hairdressers Let’s face it guys if you’ve been lucky enough to have any woman cut your hair you’ll know what a sensual experience this can be. Its the sudden proximity and intimacy with a complete stranger that does it. Any ladies out there who cut hair for a living will recognise the signs I’m sure - glazed eyes, lips slightly parted and quicker breathing…and that’s before I’ve got in the chair. A girl I knew who worked at a barber’s told me that the male customers usually got a little over excited. She even had to smack one guy for fiddling around under the sheet - turns out he was polishing his glasses… ---

It always annoyed the hell out of me because none of those girls would have paid any attention to me if I wasn’t holding their grade book. ---

Well, I’ve never really considered middle managers before, but ones with the name Rick must be hot. That name doesn’t really inspire visions of pointy haired bosses. I think of a manager with that name as more like one who might get into trouble for starting office affairs with too many members of the office. ---

Or overly technically knowlegeable insurance brokers. Sheesh. My list includes Military men (awww yeahhhhh), firemen, police officers, EMTs… my UPS dude is HOT even out of his silly little brown short uniform. There is a fine art to making someone feel like they are the only person on earth… waitresses, nurses, and (dare I say it?) strippers all seem to have perfected that art. That said, I find women in race cars to be incredibly sexy. ---
