# Inner voice reading technology: dystopian visions

I think we’re pretty much already there when you think about how much people use their various smart devices and to the degree that has become the lens by which they view the rest of the world.

And people won’t WANT to outthink or protect themselves from it. Having smart devices that you interact with by thinking and project their output through glasses or even directly into your brain will be so convenient and ubiquitous, most people would no more leave the house without their smart device than they would their clothes and house keys.

I mean assuming you even COULD leave these devices behind and they aren’t embedded in you at birth.
