Meanwhile, back at the OP… **Knowed Out** , I think one thing you’re not seeing here is that this wasn’t a big “inside joke” that everyone else was in on except you. It wasn’t an “inside joke” at all. A former regular, who obviously used to enjoy the boards, popped in to try to say hello to old friends and maybe make some new ones. Yes, it was a rather unconventional way of doing so, but so what? I’ve been around for awhile, having lurked a year before registering, and I don’t have any recollection of the poster or the game, so I can imagine there are a lot more people that had no idea of what was going on than there are that did. You weren’t alone, though, in greeting her with such sterling manners. The reception she received didn’t reflect well on the board membership. Guess her asshole wasn’t shiny enough. ---
