# Inspired by cichlidiot...Take this,fat bashers!

An open letter to everybody who has EVER bashed a fattie or looked the wrong way at a fattie or made snide comments (or hell,even given ‘constructive criticism’ for that matter)about or to fat people:  
SOME OF US CANNOT HELP IT!! I am sick and fucking TIRED of being stared at by skinny people when I go someplace and eat a hamburger or something. I am TRYING hard to get my weight down.I’m down from 175 to 145 now and once I lose that additonal 20lbs I’ll be happy.I diet.I exercise.I’ve done all I can do,short of having lipo or taking diet drugs, which I refuse to do. Yes,I have a huge ass.SO STOP STARING!!Other people have huge asses.You’ve seen them before. It’s not a novelty,for chrissakes! And yes…I have boobs. A D-cup,TYVM. Everybody(well…all females anway)has boobs. Stop staring at mine and saying how I have a uniboob that merges into my stomach.They do not. My boobs and my stomach are seperate entities thank you and I’d like to keep them that way. Yes I have short legs,which makes me look even stockier than I am.That’s not my fault and I do what I can to correct it.  
This is also a rant directed towards modern society and fashion which demands that we all be six foot tall chicas who are a size 5 or 6 with very little in the way of ass or boobage and blonde to boot. I’m sorry…no…I’m not sorry I’m fat. I’m not sorry I have perfectly olive skin and long,thick dark brown hair. YOu’re the ones who should be sorry for making girls so insecure about their weight. YOU (the media)plaster pictures of these thin,anorexic looking models all over the place and little girls grow up thinking they are supposed to look like that when they get to be adults. NOT EVERYBODY LOOKS LIKE THAT,YOU EGG SUCKING MORONS!!!  
There is a wide variety of people in the world,fat, thin,muscular,not so muscular,all of us perfect in our own ways.GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD YOU STUPID MEDIA CUNTFACES THAT NOT EVERYBODY IS GONNA FIT YOUR STEREOTYPES!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Here’s some _un_constructive criticism, Ask your doctor if being a mere 20# overweight is the root cause for:  
Being overly defensive  
Inane ranting  
A “Huge” ass  
Paranoia

If not, maybe it’s time to look inside yourself and quit the “world hates me” act.

**John** –in this case it’s not “the world hates me”, it’s “The world hates fat people”, a whole other rant entirely.  
According to everything I"ve read from the Dr’s office,I’m only SUPPOSED to weigh somewhere between 115 and 130.I am trying,desperately,to get down to 110 if I can. I am also going to save up (when I get a job) for a breast REDUCTION.That’s right.REDUCTION. Because I do not WANT nor do I need these giant things on the front of my body.I don’t want to have to dig through racks and racks of bras to find one that fits because I have such a massive chest. I would KILL (well maybe not kill…seriously mangle,perhaps,or maim)for a B-cup size chest or even the high end of an A cup.  
You are probably a guy(as I’m guessing from your username)and therefore have NO idea wh at we women go through when we don’t fit the ‘standard’ set by the media.SO…in conclusion,SHADDAP!

Get it through _your_ head that the media is only doing what makes it money. That’s all they can be expected to do. Yes, not everyone looks like the image of an ideal woman, and some people on this very board disagree about what exactly that is, _but_ the media is out to make money. Clearly a majority of the public considers some general range of attributes to be most pleasing to the eye, so advertisers are doing the smart thing by presenting that image. Television producers are doing the smart thing by presenting that image and so are film producers (with the exception of roles that necessarily have women who _don’t_ fit the ideal because the character would not be realistic if she was a supermodel, and the rare director who universally goes for talent over looks.) It’s a necessary and real part of the media industry.

I don’t demand anybody conform to any body type, hell it’s your life. All I ask is that people have the right to choose what they consider attractive and discriminate in their social relationships on that basis if they so desire. I’m discriminated against socially because of _my_ weight, and I totally feel that is those people’s right to do so and completely understandable, and I want to be able to do the same without suffering through a morally indignant tirade over it.

Nobody _must_ look a certain way, and nobody _must_ find a person sexually appealing. You have your right to be how you are, and others have their right to form their own asthetic valuation of that appearance. I have the right to continue putting off diet and exercise and remaining at my present build and weight, and others have a right to decide I’m not physically attractive to them. I don’t judge them, I don’t fault them, in fact I agree with them. I can live with that, can you? Sounds like a fair trade to me, as a baseline compromise, having been through this whole debate months before.

Honey, while I agree with the basic sentiment of your rant, I must say that, unless you’re like barely five feet tall, 145 pounds is nowhere _near_ FAT. I’m a bit over that and, while I’m certainly no waif, I don’t think I qualify as Fat either–simply well padded.  
I will agree with you on the breast issue. Being chesty can certainly contribute to an overall “heavy” look. I fluctuate between a DD/DDD, as do all of my sisters. Two of them have had reductions (one was very active in sports, and the other one just terribly self-conscious) and I’m simply amazed at how much smaller they now look than me, despite the fact that our weights are probably not much different.  
And–final buttinski comment here and then I’m done, scouts honor–110 pounds is too thin. From the way you talk about yourself it sounds as if you’ve simply got a thick build. You’re ranting up a storm about how people naturally differ from the “sterotype” and yet you seem bound and determined to shoehorn yourself into that image. What’s up with that?

**belladonna** –I’m not doing it to ‘shoehorn myself into that image’ as you put it. I’m doing it primarily for medical reasons. In another post (can’t find it right now…will cite later),I stated that I have a mild form of the genetic aging disorder Progenera (also called Progeria). I have a fairly smallish frame and believe me 145 is TOO much on my smallish frame. Because of my Progenera,I am already getting arthritis in my hips,knees and my left ankle. I have found out that if I weigh less,it will cause much less stress on my already overtaxed joints. I am also trying to avoid (hopefully)a lifetime of heart problems caused by weight (which run in my family as well as breast cancer,among other things).  
So I’m not trying to ‘fit the stereotype’. I’m getting thin because I have to.If I don’t…well…I’ll probably end up in surgery, which I don’t want.  
Sorry if you misunderstood.🙂

I’m with **belladonna** on this one.  
I am a fair amount over that, and not all that tall. Yah, I’m chunky, but I wouldn’t call myself fat. I love myself. I love my body. I love my face and my lifestyle.

I have no problems with media portrayal of people. I do have issues with the lack of standards in clothing sizes and certain stores carrying nothing over a size 12.

Honey, learn to love yourself for who you are, and what you’ve got. Dieting for life isn’t healthy. Simply eat healthy. Really, it’s okay if you love your body, even if clothes don’t.

I’m not gonna get into a Sumo vs. thin grudge match. I have no problem with overweight people, just people with attitudes exibited by IDBB.

I stand by my original contention the OP rant was contradictory & borderline mindless. Instead of complaining about people staring whilst indulging at a burger joint, I wonder what the (real or imagined) reactions would be at a salad bar.

If I wanted to be a complete arse, I would’ve included poor punctuation in my original list & implied the 10 minutes it took to post the rant would have been better spent excercising.
