# Inspired by Sophie, howzabout a Valentine's Day Dopefest?

First of all, there are several birthdays in February. **thinksnow** has one, as do I. That should be reason enough. And since a lot of people hate Valentine’s Day, why not celebrate it with some beloved Dopers instead? I know some of us were planning on attending **UncleBill** ’s [MiamiDope](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=96396), but I know that, for financial reasons, I probably wouldn’t be able to attend. So I’m proposing a Midwestern, There’s-A-Tear-In-My-Beer-Because-It’s-Valentine’s-Day Dopefest to take place in Louisville, KY (if someone has a better idea for a location, feel free to post it). Since Valentine’s Day actually takes place on a Thursday next year, I propose the weekend immediately after. February 15-18.

Actually, **Tokiwoki** , my dear, I’ve only been to three. Two ChiDopes and OhDope. But I want more! Ideally, I’d like to meet every Doper, but I realize that’s just not feasible.
