I hate to admit it but I’ve smashed so many toes that I’ve gotten to the point that I can buddy-tape my own in the dark. Leaving it untaped there is a small chance of it healing off-center and leaving some of the inner bone open and that is a very bad thing. Usually the tape and swelling basically set the bone for you if you can get it on within a couple days of the injury. Well, we’re off tomorrow (actually I’m a little bit “off” most days) – I may not see everyone again until the end of the month. Hugs and high fives as needed all around. ---

I had burgers with ghost pepper and cumin with smoked paprika potato wedges and roasted squash with tomatoes and Vidalia onion. Dessert is tequila soaked watermelon with chillie lime salt. It’s storming and there’s Flash Flood warning. Have fun, **Ruble**! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 97 for the day. Another Summer’s day in south Jawja. This mornin’ I start my irkday by trekkin’ up to the north forty for a while. I have three stops to make up there which should take up the mornin’ into the early afternoon. Rah. I shall start from da cave since it’s closer to do so, so I can be a bit of a bear of leisure as I don’t have to leave as early. Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification shall commence. At least 'tis Firday and jeans day. Happy Firday Y’all! ---

I definitely have poison ivy on my left wrist, but I can’t see behind my knees and \*\*FCD \*\*just says “They’re little bumps” so I don’t know if it’s poison or bug bites. In any event, I have itchies. ugh. Stoopit summer! I’ll be mulching today, to protect everything I’ve planted over the last few days. It would be a lot easier if I could get the riding mower and cart next to where I planted, but the hill’s too steep there, so I’ll have to disconnect the cart at the top of the hill and roll it down to the line of flowers. I’ll dump the mulch, rake it down, and get another load, lather, rinse, repeat… We’ll see how much I can get done in 2 hours. This time next week, my baby girl will be home! YAY!! Haven’t seen her since November, and she hasn’t been here in over a year, so yay! Meanwhile, on into the day. Happy Firday! ---
