She’s a kook, so I attribute that kookery to leftists. There may be some innocent leftists caught in that, but that is unavoidable. If you abstain from that kookery you deserve a pat on the back. For example, I praised Warren from abstaining from anti-Russia kookery and supporting the Syria withdrawal. I am patiently waiting for some evidence of your claim that Rubin is a reactionary. But by presenting tired ideas as new and intellectually stimulating, by presenting conservatism as counter-culture, as “common sense,” as “classical liberalism,” as “new ideas,” in other words as anything but what it is, Dave Rubin shrinks your field of vision. Within the walls of his studio, the conservative world becomes the only world. All the people worth listening to are inside; the baying hordes of feminist beasts and antifa thugs lie outside. If Rubin himself is not a reactionary, he’s about as useful an idiot as you can imagine - [maybe it has to do with his funding sources](https://www.learnliberty.org/blog/the-rubin-report-and-learn-liberty-fight-for-free-speech/). The entire format caters directly to the far right and shifts the overton window away from the left. Even on the rare occasion he does have progressives on his program, he steers them away from actual progressive ideas: The second is Mike Shellenberger, a Democrat and environmental activist, who is immediately directed towards criticizing Berkeley students and then toward the conservative-friendly topic of nuclear power and making California more welcoming to tech companies. I mean, I dunno, sure sounds like a reactionary to me. ---
